Without motivation no goal, and without goal no motivation. Getting older is inevitable, but how you spend these years is in your own hands. It’s not just about how time passes, but more importantly, how you spend it. Getting older is certainly a challenge, but it doesn’t have to be a hindrance.
How are you (living) these years of your life? What drives you to get the most out of your life, especially at this stage? What role do you have at work and how can you use your knowledge and experience to help others? It is time to make the coming years the best time of your life. Whereas it used to be thought that after reaching a certain age, people would work toward retirement, there is now a large group of 50-somethings whose goal is to grow old healthily and vitally with good energy and a goal in mind. They see it as a marathon, not a sprint to the finish line of working life.
In this program, we will work with former psychiatrist Bram Bakker and cardiologist Dr. Janneke Wittekoek to get the most out of life. We learn about the importance of motivations, leveraging unique talents, the relationship network and finding meaning. And as unfortunate as it is, the quality of our bodies declines as we age. The body of a 50-year-old requires something different than that of a 30-year-old. What knobs can you turn yourself to keep your body as healthy and vital as possible?
